Phoenix Union is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Leah McKiernan as the first Principal of PXU City. The newest addition to the robust PXU portfolio, approved by the Governing Board in 2020, will provide students with unheard-of flexibility and the opportunity to take advantage of all that Phoenix Union has to offer. This innovative approach will allow students to take classes at multiple PXU campuses while also participating in courses virtually through the PXU Digital Academy. At PXU City, the city is your classroom. PXU City welcomed its first class of students in the Fall of 2022 and is open to Feshman through Seniors. McKiernan has been a member of the Phoenix Union family since 2008, serving as the Assistant Principal for Registration at Alhambra High School since 2019. Before this, she was the Assistant Principal for Instruction and Registration, iLeadAZ Resident, AVID coordinator, Science instructional leader, PLC leader, and advisory committee chairperson at Carl Hayden Community High School from 2008 to 2019.
