Apply to Attend Bioscience

Please fill in the application below (either typed or handwritten), print it out, and bring it in to Bioscience High School starting Monday, November 6th. We will also collect applications at the PXU Expo at Phoenix College on Saturday, November 4th. If you are unable to print, you can email it and the accompanying documents to her Email starting November 6th.  If you email it, please follow up with us that we received all of the needed documents.  Only complete applications will be considered.  Teacher recommendations can still come in after your application is turned in.  We will still consider your application for the priority deadline if everything but the teacher recommendations is complete and turned in by January 19th.

This application process is designed to ensure that applicants to Bioscience understand our program, are committed to academics, and have interest in science related fields.  Students who properly complete the application process will be considered for admission to Phoenix Union Bioscience High School.  Admission is not on a first-come-first-served basis. 

Application Process Instructions

Parent Orientation and Student Interactive Sessions

Each applicant and at least one parent/guardian must attend one of the Parent Orientation/Student Interactive Sessions (see dates above.)  A Spanish interpreter will be provided for both sessions.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the Orientation/Interactive Session.  Late arrivals may be asked to reschedule.  During the Orientation/Interactive Session, applicants and parents will participate in a staff facilitated dialogue, where students will have an opportunity to share more information about themselves through structured activities, discussion, and a short reflection.  Please register for the Orientation/Interactive Sessions using the signup page in this section, or by contacting Ms. Nini Gariepy at 602-764-5606 or Email
