Hello Spartan Community!

We hope that this letter finds you happy, healthy, and having found time to relax and rejuvenate over the summer.  This next school year brings another opportunity to learn and grow together and we could not be more excited about being back in school with all our amazing students.  These past few years have brought us tremendous turbulence as we navigated COVID-19 and all the effects of the virus.  This year and the ones that follow allow us to define what the ‘new normal’ will look like for schools, students, and our community.

At Camelback High School we see this next year as an incredible opportunity to ‘Lead the Way’ in how public schools can adapt, grow and, disrupt traditional systems to offer new opportunities to our students.  Last year, our 9th grade class was the most successful of any class in over a decade, and even received recognition from the Center for High School Success, a national organization focused on school improvement.  During this next year we plan to grow our post-secondary opportunities by offering more dual-enrollment classes than ever before, offering access to college credits while our students are still enrolled in high school.

We have a vision of a positive future with new and exciting opportunities for our students, our families, and our community.  We cannot wait to create this new, exciting future with your help!

Schedule for Tech Pick-up, Schedule pick-up, Counselor Support, and School IDs.

Class schedules will be posted to StudentVUE on August 1st.

Students should come to campus to pick up technology, IDs and schedules.  The schedule for pickup is organized by grade level, but if your scheduled day does not work, please call the front office to set up a different appointment: 602-764-7000.

• First-year students 7/31- 12:30pm to 3:30 pm

• Seniors 8/02- 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

• Juniors 8/03 1:30pm to 3:30pm

• Sophomores 8/04 – 9:00am to 11am

Make-up Friday 08/04 from 1pm to 3pm.

New Bell Schedule

PXU and Camelback High School have adopted a new bell schedule for this coming year.  This schedule is a compromise between the traditional six classes in a day from years past and the more recent block schedule.  The schedule will be posted when it is available.

1st Day of School Bell Schedule

The first day of school will be a special schedule which allows us to welcome all 9th graders to campus at the normal 8:15am start time, while the rest of our students will observe a later start at 10:10am.
