August 2nd: Start of School
For the first time in two years we are starting back in a traditional setting. Make sure you bring your mask, your computer, and your good attitude in order to make this as successful a semester as possible! Make sure you have a school computer, and you know how to access TEAMs! If you need help - email me or contact me ASAP!
This year is going to have a traditional performance schedule, as well as hopefully executing remote performances. Make sure your instrument is functional, and you have access to a place to practice, and any accessories you need. Let me know if there are any supplies you need!
Register on Register my Athlete for the 2021-2022 School Year. All students need a physical and insurance - again - let me know if you need help, or if you are struggling with any parts of this!

All members need a physical for the current school year! The physical check form is attached, ase l required links!
You will also need to sign up on registermyathlete.com and complete a brainbook registration in order to participate
Upload your physical into registermyathlete, or send me a picture of your insurance card. I can send that to Dr. T and get you cleared

Beginning Band
This beginning band course teaches the fundamentals of playing instrumental music. The start of the yer will be utilizing drum sticks and a recorder, then hopefully in October we can go back to a traditional setup, and we can focus on playing band instruments. No previous experience is necessary and the school will provide an instrument if necessary. This course addresses the music standards at the foundations level. Extra time outside of the regular school day is expected of all students for rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Course may be repeated for credit, but not grade replacement
Intermediate Band
This course is for students with experience playing an instrument. The course addresses the music standards at the intermediate level. Extra time is required for rehearsals and performances throughout the concert seasons. Enrollment in the class obligates students to participate in all scheduled activities of the band. Course may be repeated for credit, but not grade replacement.
Marching Band
This course is for students with extensive experience playing an instrument, or those wishing to challenge themselves throughout the fall semester. The course addresses the music standards at an advanced level. During the fall semester, students participate in the activities of the Marching Band. Extra time is required for rehearsals and performances throughout the marching and concert seasons. Enrollment in the class obligates students to participate in all scheduled activities of the band. Students maintain their uniforms and provide appropriate shoes and socks. Course may be repeated for credit, but not grade replacement.
Symphonic Band
This course is the continuation of Marching Band for the second semester, and addresses the music standards at an advanced level. Extra time is required for rehearsals and performances throughout the concert season. Enrollment in the class obligates students to participate in all scheduled activities of the band. Course may be repeated for credit, but not grade replacement.
Beginning Orchestra
This beginning course in orchestra teaches the fundamentals of playing an orchestra instrument. No previous experience is necessary, and the school will provide an instrument if necessary. Enrollment in the class obligates students to participate in all scheduled activities of the ensemble. Extra time outside of the regular school day is expected of all students for rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Course may be repeated for credit, but not grade replacement.
