Britannica School has three reading levels for research information plus links to reviewed websites. It has an atlas and timeline, plus you can make your own timeline.

Britannica Escolar offers the same resources in Spanish.

Britannica ImageQuest has millions of rights-cleared images with citations from one trusted site. You have permission to use any images (with citations) found in ImageQuest in your academic work.

From the EBSCO landing page, select the LearningExpress icon. EBSCO LearningExpress has two separate modules: LearningExpress Library (under the Public Library heading) and PrepSTEP (under the High School heading). Both resources provide academic skill-building, test preparation, and career exploration. LearningExpress Library gives students access to test preparation for ACT, ASVAB, PSAT, SAT, AP, GED, and much more. Also, skill-building resources and prep for the U.S. citizenship exam and Green Card in Spanish.  PrepSTEP is a high school focused resource with skill-building practice and review for computer skills, English language arts, math, science, and social studies. Also included in PrepSTEP are career exploration and college prep resources. 

EVERFI is a digital learning program including financial literacy and critical topics that teach students how to make wise financial decisions to promote financial wellness and connections to the real world. (Link takes PXU students to Clever. Sign-in with your PXU Microsoft 365 login.)

GALE Environmental Studies provides academic articles, videos, case studies, and more on topics related to the environment.

GALE Global Issues supports global awareness and provides a global perspective while tying together a wealth of authoritative content like news articles, reference materials, country information, primary source documents, videos, statistics, and much more.

GALE High School offers cross-curricular content aligned to national and state standards. Learners can access news content with images, broadcast videos, archival film clips, and audio from popular sources like the BBC News, New York Times and NPR.

 GALE Power Search is a search of all of our Gale resources at once to deliver magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, books, videos, images and podcast content on the topic.

 GALE Presents: Peterson's Test Preparation which gives access to all the information and support materials needed to make informed, confident decisions to shape the rest of your life. Infobase provides the High School Plus Video Collection with award-winning digital reference content to schools and libraries. Search by topics, grade level and standards for streaming video. 

Ferguson's Career Guidance Center helps students find careers, colleges and scholarships. Provides video interviews with professionals, an interest inventory, Holland type analyses, resume writing skills, and many more features.  (An Infobase database.)

Newsbank provides world news that explores diverse perspectives, topics and trends that align with curricular areas such as English, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Technology, Arts, History and more to foster critical thinking skills. Features reliable, credible information from a wide variety of international, national, and local sources.

Find news from cultural perspectives with Newsbank's Black Life in America, which gives a look into the experiences and impact of African Americans as recorded in newspapers. The experiences and impact of Hispanic Americans from 1704 to present is covered in Hispanic Life in America.  

Newsela current events with interactive tools for classroom use in all subject areas at all reading levels. Newsela requires you to sign-in to Clever with your PXU Microsoft 365 login.

SIRS Issues Researcher provides insight into the most studied social issues by delivering pro and con and viewpoints from relevant and credible multidisciplinary sources. Includes critical thinking questions and timelines. Issues are sorted into categories such as Business & Econ; Civil Rights & Liberties; Communication & Tech; Crime & Punishment; Drugs, Health and Wellness; Environment & Science; Ethics; School, Family & Youth; and World Culture & Politics. 

CultureGrams which is a comprehensive resource for information from every country, including foods, recreation, holidays, and lifestyles.

Ancestry for Libraries is a genealogy database with access to a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. Includes billions of records in census data, historical photos, plus local narratives, oral histories, indexes and other resources in over 30,000 databases that span from the 1500s to the 2000s. Is considered a supplement to their more comprehensive database Ancestry.com. Access provided by the Arizona State Library & Archives.

Teen Health & Wellness is filled with information about teen issues including relationships, nutrition, green living, physical and mental health, links to hotlines.
