SIT is funded by the federal Title I Program in addition to grants awarded by the Arizona Department of Education. Its purpose is to encourage students experiencing homelessness to stay in school, graduate, and succeed in their college and career endeavors.

Through Phoenix Union's Support Services Team members on each respective; Community Liaisons, Social Workers, Student Prevention/Intervention Specialists, and our district Homeless Liaison, we provide referral services that connect students with the necessary tools to succeed and maintain in addition to supporting their families with outside agency assistance.
