Adrian De Alba is the Executive Director of Finance for the Phoenix Union High School District. Mr. De Alba began his education career in 2008 at Carl Hayden Community High School as a Science Teacher. Over the last 16 years, he served as a site and district leader, including time as an administrator at Central and Camelback High Schools. Mr. De Alba has also served as the principal of ASU Preparatory Academy, as Director of Instructional Leadership at the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s Office, and Assistant Superintendent at the Maricopa County Regional School District.
Mr. De Alba earned two bachelor’s degrees, one from the University of Arizona in Molecular & Cellular Biology and one in Science Education. He also earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University and a second master’s in Educational Leadership. Mr. De Alba is pursuing his doctoral degree from East Carolina University and is expected to graduate in May 2025.
Mr. De Alba was the first in his family to attend a 4-year university. He is thankful for all the opportunities his education has offered and is passionate about ensuring our students and staff have similar opportunities.
