Heart Month - Week 1

February is American Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular disease and promoting heart health. It's a critical reminder that heart disease remains the number one killer of men and women in the United States.

This year, let's focus on how we can make a difference in our own lives and the lives of those we serve. At PXU, our highest claim is for hypertension (high blood pressure), a major risk factor for heart disease. This means we have a unique opportunity to educate and empower our members to take control of their heart health.

This February, join us as we explore The Dean Ornish Program and its four pillars of heart health: eat well, move more, stress less, and love more.

This February, we encourage you to prioritize your heart health. Each week, we will offer a variety of simple activities designed to promote cardiovascular wellness. We also invite you to wear RED on February 7th in support of women and heart disease awareness.. Share these ideas with your friends and family – let's all get heart-healthy together!
