District Art Show Artist Statements

2025 Art Show Info:

1. Location:  George Washington Carver Museum

   1. Back-up Site:  Comprehensive Site

2. Date:  03/26/25 - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

3. Guidelines:  

   1. Each teacher will select and submit a total of TWO original student artworks (no copyright material will be accepted).  

4. Categories - Each 1st/2nd/3rd place winner will receive prize packages that are unique and specific to each category. Each category must have 6 total entries for judging and prizes.  

   • 2D Mixed Media Entries

   • Sculpture (non-Ceramic)

   • Ceramics Entries

   • Digital Art Entries

   • Photography Entries

   • Drawing Entries

   • Painting Entries

   • Campus Collaborative Artwork

5. Timeline

   1. Artist's Statements are due by 03/01/25 (Tuesday) by 11:59 pm.

   2. ILs will assist with Artwork Installation on 03/26/25 from 7:30 am - 10:30 am.  

   3. Artwork Judging will be on the Art Show Date from 11 am - 2 pm.

   4. The District Arts Show and Awards Ceremony Event is on 03/26/25 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.  Please encourage all of your participating students to attend with their families!  Awards will be presented at 6:00 pm.

   5. All Artwork must be taken home by teachers THAT NIGHT (03/26/25).
