Culinary Arts
The Metro Tech Culinary Arts program students gain enhanced experience with extended lab time in a full-commercial kitchen and bakery, through the operation of the Metro Tech Express Cafe, banquet facilities, and the Sustainable Table, a fine dining room specializing in local/organic food service. Customer service experiences in this fully licensed facility vary from buffet and menu service to catering and formal dining, highlighting locally grown and harvested foods when possible. Innovative eco-friendly business practices are integrated into the program, in an effort to sustain our natural resources. Student who participate in the Metro Tech program will be required to obtain a current food handler's card. Community college dual enrollment credits may be offered.
