Use these online resources when you are in need of digital materials for academic and personal use. When working on school computers, there is automatic access to the PUHSD databases.

When working remotely, some sites may require a username and password. If so, click on the link below for PXU usernames & passwords. 

For the username and password for each database (and other online resources),Talk to your classroom teacher or any of the library staff.

    LibriVox offers free access to public domain audiobooks.

  • Phoenix Public Library
    Phoenix Public Library - eLibrary - with your library card from the Phoenix Public Library (PPL), you have free access to thousands of digital materials like eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMusic, eMagazines, eNewspapers, and eVideos. You can even get your eLibrary Card online. Look at the handout below for directions on how to apply for a library card and on using the PPL digital resources.

  • EBSO
    EBSCO provides PUHSD students with free access to thousands of eBooks. On the EBSCO Databases website, select  "EBSCOhost Web" then choose either the "eBook High School Collection" or the "eBook Collection" database.

    FollettShelf eBooks gives PUHSD students access to the links for all the eBooks in the Hayden Library online catalog.

    Gale eBooks provides PUHSD students with unlimited access to hundreds of high quality reference eBooks.

    MackinVIA provides easy access to eBooks, read-alongs, audiobooks, databases, and videos

    The Open Library has over 1,000,000 free eBook titles available, including classic literature.

    Project Gutenberg offers over 45,000 free ebooks: choose among free epub books, free kindle books, download them or read them online. We carry high quality ebooks: All our ebooks were previously published by bona fide publishers. We digitized and diligently proofread them with the help of thousands of volunteers.

    Audiobooks and ebooks for all ages.  Customize the text, highlight, save your place.  Use this link to do a general browse.  If you want to get your own copy (save your info), go to PXU or MTHS webpage> Students tab> Clever > SORA.  Use Office365 login email and PW.
