Procedures
Students must have a pass to visit the Health Office unless it is an emergency.
This is for the student's safety and to ensure proper management of the presenting health problem. Students will not be seen without the proper requirements.
Guardian/Parent permission forms are required for all medications and procedures that need to be provided by the nurse and for students who may need to self-administer medications (form below).
A new Emergency Student Health Information Card is required every school year for students to receive over-the-counter medication (form below).

Over-the-Counter (OTCs): With written parent/guardian permission, the school nurse is allowed to dispense the generic equivalent of Tylenol, Advil, Benadryl, Robitussin, Tums, and Sudafed, when necessary. These medications are only administered after the nurse has made a medical assessment that indicates the need for medication.
Prescription Medications: These will only be dispensed with written parent/guardian permission, and when the medication is brought to school in its original container with the prescription label on it.
Medicamentos sin Receta Médica: Solamente con el permiso escrito del padre / tutor legal, la enferma escolar tiene el permiso de repartir el equivalente genérico de Tylenol, Advil, Benadryl, Robitussin, Tums and Sudafed cuando sea necesario. Estos medicamentos solo serán administrados después de que la enfermera haya hecho una evaluación médica que indique la necesidad de medicamento.
